I am wondering why you decided to point at a tech article that was last updated almost two years ago. Growth in Safari crashes around the globe? Mine is definitely unstable and it has become so after I upgraded it to the latest version. Thanks for the useful reminder, as ever.

We were on the radio, WGN, and a caller asked why it was we thought his Safari sometimes quits, so we provided this quick link.
Afterward, we had a couple other calls that presented other ideas, including deselecting the “other” checkbox in auto-fill.

That is interesting. I am using the latest version, and I am a heavy Safari user. Sometimes, I have 10 tabs open at once and I don’t have the problem of unexpected quitting since the update. It would be interesting to get statistics on other user’s usage as well as what version of OS people are using.

Safari is very unstable and constantly quits on both of my macs. I thought for a while there I had ram issues but it’s definitely the app. I find that Firefox, although I don’t like all it’s features, is much better. Apple needs to get there act together on this one.

Safari unexpectedly quits after I go to a certain website. I go there on my PC and there’n no problem. I downloaded Firefox and the same thing happened. Previous to this problem, I tried to download Adobe flash player. I have a feeling that’s the problem. I’m a beginner with Mac. What can I do with this problem?

That’s why I use Firefox. And the new version 3 is much better than 2. Stable, fast and it’s got features Safari doesn’t - like easy to manage, taggable bookmarks.

Safari unexpectedly quits after I go to certain websites (ie facebook). This started happening after I downloaded Adobe flash player. I know this is the problem b/c if when I uninstalled Adove flash player Safari worked fine again. Some sites need Adobe flash player to work correctly, what should I do?
